Mastercard + Rock Your Palate
Mastercard sponsored Rock Your Palate, a two-day event at the Floating World Gallery in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area. The gallery featured photos by Michael Weintrob, specifically his ‘instrumenthead’ series. Guests of the event enjoyed live blues and jazz, catered food by Top Chef season 9 contestant Sarah Grueneberg (Executive Chef of Spiaggia seen below in our booth!) and of course one of our GIF booths where they could pose with their instrument of choice!
Tumblr and Rock the Vote
Tumblr partnered with Rock The Vote and StartUp RockOn to throw the RNC Block Party at the Amphitheatre in Tampa where DJ DOCO opened for Steve Aoki. Tumblr also paired with StartUp RockOn for Tumblr @ DNC in Charlotte at the Elder Gallery. Everyone had a blast with our GIF booths. It also seems an epic whip cream and cake fight took place as well!
Target + People En Español
Bosco went to celebrate Hispanic Heritage at Festival People en Español at the San Antonio Convention Center with Target. Attendees of the free festival got tips from industry experts, heard columnists speak on fashion and wellness, and experienced a huge, pressure-sensitive LED dance floor! Bosco was there with a red carpet studio set-up which covered the two full days of the event. We also debuted Bosco #Print where two printer stations allowed users to take a photo using Instagram, add a custom 'hashtag' and upload and print a branded photo print. Now you can take away a physical keepsake captured on the digital world of Instagram thanks to Bosco #Print!
#Roofies2012
The Barbarian group, a digital agency, teamed up with Warby Parker to celebrate the end of summer 2012 with an amazing party on the roof of their offices. Attendees enjoyed a DJ set, drinks and one of our animated GIF booths while looking out over the Hudson. While everyone got a chance to try on their favorite pair of Warby Parkers, this duo couldn't choose and looks dashing in multiple pairs!
Converse City Carnage
The Bosco was out on Pier 63 for another epic Converse City Carnage event. Our booths were custom vinyl wrapped and we printed beautiful black and white prints on a layout designed specifically for the event.
People rocked out to The Kills as they snapped photos in our photo booth. You can view the entire set of photos here.
Gawker HUSH: A Silent Disco
Gawker Media came correct with HUSH, a silent disco that took place in the NYC Public Library. A silent disco involves party goers dawning wireless headphones and dancing to DJ sets transmitted live.
Yeasayer and Das Racist DJ'ed the event where The Bosco set up one animated GIF booth with instant sharing capability and a custom backdrop for the event. Who knew the library could ever be so much fun?
Generation Glamour
Glamour Magazine paired up with The Bosco for their event Generation Glamour, which took place at the Wythe Hotel. We custom installed one of our booths into a sweet baby blue VW bus.
All of the photos taken in the booth were projected live at the event and integrated into the Generation Glamour website.
Art Music Success
The Bosco supports education. The Bosco also loves art. That's why it made sense that we set up one of our booths at Art Music Success, an art auction fundraiser.
The group exhibition showed a multitude of New York's finest contemporary artists. All the proceeds from the auction will go to the Bronx Success Academy 1, a public charter school that operates with the idea that every child can succeed with an excellent free education.
The set of photos from this event is avaliable here.
GIF of the Week!
Starting with this post, The Bosco blog will publish a once weekly "GIF of the Week" entry that will showcase one GIF that we believe uses the format and technology in an especially creative, different, zany, and original way.
So, with out further ado, we give you the first GIF of the week!
Space 150
Marketing firm Space 150 invited The Bosco to their Brooklyn creative space for an office party. The Bosco delivered photo fun with its animated GIF photo booth.
Space 150 supplied a wide variety of crowns as props for the booth, fitting for a company that goes by the motto "culture is king."
Conor Maynard Showcase
EMI Music brought The Bosco to Conor Maynard's first ever performance in the Big Apple. Die-hard Maynard fans, known as Mayniacs, had a blast in The Bosco GIF booth.
A custom backdrop, in conjuction with branded props and a special hashtag for the event, ensured that the photos from the night were custom and easily shareable on Twitter.
After Maynard's set, fans used The Bosco animated GIF booth to take photos with the up and coming artist. The GIF's certainly capture the emotions of a true Mayniac: zeal, excitement, passion, and maybe a little bit of mania.
RAC Shows
Mountain Dew's Green Label Sound label brought remix artist André Anjos, founder of the Remix Artists Collective, or "RAC," to the Brooklyn Bowl for not one, but two, nights of dancing. For this event, The Bosco switched up its photo lay out and delivered large single image prints. Check out the set of photos from the event here.
Alpina Watches
Swiss watchmaker Alpina held a press cocktail party at the Maritime Hotel to annouce the rebranding of the company. The Bosco was at the event with the photo booth and a custom backdrop to help promote the company's new brand direction. Alpina brand ambassador Billy Baldwin was at the event and took some great photos with guests in The Bosco booth. Check it out!
Fashion's Night Out
Fashion's Night Out celebrated its fourth year of after hours shopping and promotional parties in over 500 cities nationwide. The Bosco worked around the clock to bring photo booths and photo studio set-ups to events all over New York City.
At the DKNY event, designers, models and celebrities made appearances (including photographer Patrick McMullen and of course, designer Donna Karan) but perhaps the most memorable to us was Miss Piggy!
The Bergdorf Goodman event was quite impressive. Attendees lined up for our two GIF booths throughout the evening. With Bergdorff's hired stylists stationed at the booths...there was no excuse to be camera shy!
Nine West invited The Bosco to two of their midtown locations including the new Boutique9 which features trend specific, boutique quality shoes. We set up our video confessionals in each location for customers to share their 'Shoe Confessions'. Those who came to check out the stores got to tell all their shoe fantasies, secrets and crazy stories (and got a chance to be featured on Nine West's youtube channel)!
Downtown, The Bosco had a studio set-up at Hugo Boss and at Alexis Bittar, who had a karaoke extravaganza to celebrate NYC's FNO.
By the end of FNO The Bosco had captured thousands of images!
Glamour Live presented by Diet Coke
Diet coke teamed up with Glamour Magazine to host an event at The Box in the Lower East Side celebrating the launch of the brand's new look. The stylish attendees enjoyed diet coke bottle service, an alternative rock performance by Joy Formidable and one of our photo booths that highlighted the venue's antique furniture and decor with an Instagram-style vintage filter. Overall it was the perfect combination of old classics and new style.
Reformation
Reformation, an environmentally sustainable brand that gives new life to vintage and surplus materials, celebrated the opening of their new store in SOHO. The Bosco installed our first permanent booth in store allowing guests to try on clothes and see how they look in animated GIFs! In order to reduce waste, this booth does not print, but shoppers can easily share their photos and GIFs directly to Facebook and Twitter using our convienient iPad! Shopping just got even more fun ;)
GIF of the Week!
Earlier this week The Bosco was out West in sunny Los Angeles. Why, you might wonder? Because we had two of our GIF photo booths at VH1's Do Something Awards! Musicians, actors, and celebs were greeted by a Bosco booth at the end of the red carpet. Attendees also snapped photos backstage too! That is why, for this installment of "GIF of the Week," we chose none other than Will.i.am's GIF because he has so much swag.
Be sure to check out the entire set of GIF's from the VH1 Do Something Awards here and here!
Thrillist 4 Yr Anniversary
Thrillist celebrated 4 years of going strong with a late night event in the Hamptons. The Bosco suplied an animated GIF with custom watermarks on the prints.
The anniversary party was sponsored by Disaronno, meaning attendees got to unwind with some free premimum amaretto. The event went down at Beaumarchais East and the DJ produced a killer set.
Four Stories
The Bosco assembled two GIF photo booths at the W Hotel Downtown for the launch of Intel's Four Stories Film Competition, which requires that the films be set in a W Hotel and feature an Intel Ultrabook.
We created custom stands for the Intel Ultrabooks that were used to share The Bosco animated GIF's out via email, twitter, smartphone, and Facebook. Our custom backdrops displayed various W Hotel locations around the world. Check out the set of GIF's in its entirety after the jump!
Tech Tuesdays at the Tribeca Grand
The Bosco set up shop at the Tribeca Grand Hotel last night capturing GIF's for the Tech Tuesday event sponsored by TechHive, PCWorld and MacWorld.
This Tech Tuesday offered the tech-savvy a place to rendevouz, socialize and hear from editors in the tech industry such as Jason Snell, Tim Moynihan, Serenity Caldwell, and Lex Friedman. Check out the set of GiF's in its entirety here!
Converse City Carnage
Converse's City Carnage event brought the people what they wanted: A free, open to the public concert featuring Brooklyn's Sleigh Bells.
The Bosco was at the event and set up two custom vinyl wrapped booths that delivered 2-up photos in beautiful black and white. The event took place at Pier 63, and it couldn't have been a better spot to hang out on a Saturday evening.
eMusic at Pitchfork Music Festival
Portrait photography reveals a lot about a subject's character. A smile expresses happiness, raised eyebrows show fear or surpise. Expressions captured by a camera only go so far though. What if we told you that we created a photo booth that captures more than ones' physical being?
Every one knows how music can bring you to a special place, let you escape, fill you with nostalgia, or generally get you stoked on life. eMusic's vision was to capture and visualize the power that music has over people's moods.
The Bosco teamed up with eMusic at this year's Pitchfork Music Festival to create 4 interactive photo booths that, while listening to select songs from artists at Pitchfork, measured, read, and captured photographic auras.
Over the course of the festival, the eMusic Electromusical Energy Visualizer booths captured more than 7,500 aura photos, revealing the strong connection between music and mood.
Lowline Fundraiser
Architects Dan Barasch and James Ramsey are planning to build a public park. Underground. The project, known as the Lowline, hopes to turn an abandoned trolley terminal under Delancey street into a bustling public park similar to the Highline. The Bosco was at the fundraising event for the project, which took place at the Bowery Hotel. People were able to donate funds for the project through our Ipad and in turn received a Bosco print and the capability to share their images through our sharing station.
Rony Tennenbaum
Same sex marriage jewelry designer Rony Tennenbaum enlisted the help of The Bosco to raise awareness of Rony's Love Has No Boundaries project, an online forum and community that supports love equality. Photos taken at the Pride Fair will be used for the Love Has No Boundaries photo collage on the project website.
